Jesus knows your struggles and challenges because Jesus lived them. He walked this earth just like you and I. The difference is in that Jesus' perfection, he never let the lies of the world trump the lies of God.
Following the way of Jesus transforms us. In the hardest situations, in the midst of power hungry people seeking to live in the ways of the world, where are the fruits of the spirit?
Be formed by the Holy Spirit and move close to Jesus.
Are you living into the patterns of the Kingdom of God, or are you living into the patterns of the world? Drawing closer to God manifests the fruits of the spirit, which will look different than those around you.
What do the disciples of Jesus do after Jesus leaves? They are assured a helper, The Holy Spirit. Living in the world doesn't mean living of the world, so just like the original disciples, it is up to us to seek out the calling of the Holy Spirit to guide our steps.
