Journey developed a relationship with McKenzie Elementary when the church relaunched in Mesquite, Texas. The leadership and members of Journey recognize that schools are a vital part of a neighborhood. Because Journey values students and teachers, they decided to get involved by participating in back to school picnics, volunteering with Brighter Bites (fresh fruits and vegetables for students), and blessing teachers with treats, thank you cards, and gifts to simply say “thank you.”
