We believe that all people are created in the image of God and should be loved and cared for as such. We believe that we are called to be present to God, ourselves, one another, and creation. We believe the kingdom of God is both here and unfolding all around us. We believe that every good deed of justice, kindness, love, and mercy, paints a more clear picture of the kingdom that is at hand and unfolding. We believe following the way of Jesus leads to the most whole and free expression of life. We believe that Jesus’ life is worth imitating. We believe the practices of prayer and examine reveal the ways in which the message of Jesus has become subverted by our personal agendas and choose to trust Jesus’ voice above all others.
We strive to be a church where “saints and sinners sit side by side, the purest woman and the prostitute shall grasp hands in accord, where the pious man and the drunkard shall embrace the unity of the lord and a holy life.”*
